What is the difference between PRF and PRP?

Both PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) are blood concentrate therapies. At Elucell, both are being successfully used for topical skin treatments, collagen induction, facial volume and hair regrowth. 

PRF is spun in the centrifuge at a low speed. With PRF, the collection tubes do not contain coagulants. PRF is naturally thicker than PRP and forms a gel when injected into the dermis.  

PRP is spun in a centrifuge at a high speed and the collection tubes contain a coagulant which forms a gel separator. This gel separates the platelet-rich and platelet-poor plasma from the blood cells. The platelet-rich plasma is collected and used for treatments.
